SolFocus
Parabolic Trough Concentrators
Introducing the SolFocus Parabolic Concentrator system, the ultimate solution for harnessing solar energy with unparalleled efficiency. Unlike traditional photovoltaic (PV) panels, the SolFocus system uses a precision-engineered parabolic mirror to concentrate sunlight onto a single focal point. This innovative approach generates high-temperature thermal energy, which can be used to power a wide range of applications, from electricity generation to industrial process heating. Superior Efficiency: By concentrating solar energy, the SolFocus system achieves significantly higher thermal output compared to standard solar panels, making it an ideal choice for high-demand applications.
Versatile Applications: The high-temperature heat generated can be used for:
-
Electricity Generation: Powering steam turbines to produce clean, renewable electricity.
-
Industrial Heating: Providing process heat for manufacturing, chemical production, and more.
-
Water Desalination: Supplying the energy needed for efficient water purification.
-
Durable & Low Maintenance: Built with high-quality, weather-resistant materials, the SolFocus concentrator is designed for long-term reliability and requires minimal maintenance.
-
Eco-Friendly: The SolFocus concentrator produces zero emissions, helping you reduce your carbon footprint and contribute to a sustainable future.

Near site micro-manufacturing and on-site assembly offer significant advantages by drastically reducing transportation costs and lead times. By manufacturing components in small, distributed factories and assembling them at the final destination, businesses can avoid the logistical complexities, expenses, and delays associated with shipping large, finished products. This approach also allows for greater customization and quicker response to local demand. Luckily in Fairmont WV we have many local manufacturing partners available to assist anywhere in the eastern US. Our local manufacturing and service businesses are the reason we are setting up our operation in Fairmont, WV.

Modular PC Sections
Building large parabolic concentrators from independent sections offers several key advantages related to logistics, cost, and maintenance.
Simplified Manufacturing and Transport: By producing smaller, modular sections instead of a single massive structure, the manufacturing process is simplified. These sections are easier to fabricate, handle, and transport to the installation site, which aligns with the principles of micro-manufacturing. This approach significantly reduces the logistical challenges and costs associated with moving large, unwieldy equipment.
Easier On-Site Assembly: Once on site, the independent sections can be rapidly assembled by a small crew with basic training. This modular design streamlines the construction process, cutting down on installation time and labor costs. This is a direct application of on-site assembly.
Reduced Maintenance and Repair Costs: If one section of the parabolic mirror is damaged (e.g., by debris or a storm), it can be replaced individually without needing to dismantle or repair the entire concentrator. This reduces downtime and makes maintenance more efficient and cost-effective.
Improved Structural Integrity: Modular designs can sometimes be more structurally sound, as the smaller components are less susceptible to the stresses of wind and thermal expansion than a single, large structure. This can lead to a more durable and reliable system over its

The SolFocus concentrator is a polished, parabolic mirror that tracks the sun's movement throughout the day, ensuring maximum solar collection. Sunlight is reflected and focused onto a receiver tube at the mirror's focal line, heating a thermal fluid to temperatures exceeding 400°C. This superheated fluid can then be used to boil water, create high-pressure steam for a turbine-generator, or provide heat for industrial processes, making it a versatile and powerful energy solution.
Every SolFocus array is designed and manufactured to meet your individual site requirements. Whether you have a high temperature application or desire low longterm maintenance, we will work with you throught the entire process from design to installation.
